Leeds United are interested in a beat-the-deadline swoop on Ajax after staving off late competition from them for Manor Solomon.
The Whites confirmed the season-long-loan arrival of Solomon on Tuesday evening after a few days of the deal looking up in the air.
Solomon actually travelled up to Leeds on Saturday to undergo a medical but was forced to wait a few days before it became official as the two clubs finalised an agreement.
Leeds were also forced to stave off late interest from Ajax for the 25-year-old winger which should demonstrate what a considerable coup he is at this level.
Solomon revealed it was the chance to play in front of the Leeds supporters that prompted him to make his decision, despite the offer of top-flight football elsewhere.

But Solomon is not the player Leeds are looking to take from Ajax, but instead one that is already at the club now.
Leeds are in the market for another full-back and have been linked with Bournemouth’s Max Aarons, though a left-footed option would probably give the squad better balance.
As such, according to AD.NL, Leeds are among the clubs interested in a deal for Ajax left-back Owen Wijndal, with Werder Bremen and Galatasaray also keen.
Ajax paid AZ Alkmaar £8.4 million to sign Wijndal back in the summer of 2022 but has seemingly fallen out of favour.
Wijndal is now part of the ‘bannees’ group in Amsterdam and Ajax believe they can yield a fee of several millions if they are to sell him this summer.
Who is Leeds target Owen Wijndal?
As mentioned, Wijndal has fallen down the pecking order at Ajax and so spent last season on loan at Belgium with Royal Antwerp.
At 24, he has still plenty of room for development but was extremely highly rated as a youngster, winning 11 caps for the Netherlands’ senior side, though the last one came back in Euro 2020.
Before joining Ajax, Wijndal had an extremely impressive record at AZ, registering four goals and 27 assists in 143 matches, a very impressive tally from left-back.
He has gone onto provide six assists in 32 matches for Ajax but they are seemingly keen to get rid of him before the deadline.
