Leeds fans adore players with a bit of bite to their game.
Norman Hunter – nicknamed Bites Yer Legs for his physical approach to football – became a legend at Elland Road, while more recently, tough tacklers like Joe Rodon and Ethan Ampadu have become favourites at Leeds.
Now – according to The Sun – Leeds are looking to sign a player who wound Crysencio Summerville up so much, Willy Gnonto even had to hold him back in Bobby Thomas.

Should a move to Elland Road materialise for Thomas, he might have to explain himself to some players at Leeds who were involved in a 1-1 draw against Coventry back in December 2023.
After both Thomas and Summerville had got on the scoresheet, a brawl broke out after the final whistle, with Gnonto needing to hold the Dutchman back as he tried to get at the Coventry centre-back.
When asked what sparked the fight, the 24-year-old said: “It was Summerville (who started it). I went to shake his hand and he palmed it off, so I thought there was no respect there. You have argy-bargy on the pitch, but you shake hands after, but he didn’t.”
Leeds had no need for another central defender a few weeks ago, as even the £15m man Jaka Bijol was struggling for action, but the switch to a 3-5-2 means Daniel Farke could now use another option for depth.
Bobby Thomas is not the only Coventry star Leeds United are monitoring
Coventry are flying under Frank Lampard and sit ten points clear of Middlesbrough at the top of the Championship, which has alerted Leeds to several players.

Not only is Thomas a target, but Leeds United News understand Haji Wright is also admired after scoring nine goals in 16 games so far this season.
It will – however – be difficult to lure anybody away from Coventry as they look set to secure automatic promotion as champions, so Leeds should make sure to have alternative options lined up.
