Leeds United continue their search for a third summer signing, with a goalkeeper and another attacking midfielder looking like Adam Underwood’s priorities over the next few weeks.
Harry Wilson has arrived on a free transfer, while a £34m deal for Tarik Muharemovic has now been confirmed. The Bosnia defender is enjoying some time off after playing at the World Cup this summer.

It is unlikely Muharemovic will be with the Leeds squad straight away, ahead of games against Wrexham and Liverpool across the pond. But plenty is going on at Leeds, and new players are linked every day.

The truth behind Kjell Scherpen links as Ipswich table bid
Over the last 24 hours, Leeds have been linked with USG goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen. The Dutch stopper has been immense for the Belgian giants over the last season, having joined the club just a year ago.
An impressive 21 clean sheets during 2025-26, while playing in the Champions League, has caught the eye. Leeds were said to have shown interest with Karl Darlow having left to join rivals Manchester United.
But according to the YEP, Scherpen is not an active target for Leeds. Talks are not ongoing even if the club are aware of the 6ft 8in shot-stopper, while Ipswich have now made a £7m offer as per Sacha Tavolieri.
Leeds now looking at Genk wonderkid Konstantinos Karetsas
Karetsas has been on the radar of Europe’s biggest clubs for a while. A 10-time Greece international, 18-year-old Karetsas has come through Genk’s academy having played for Belgium’s youth sides.
He’s already had a hand in 29 goals in 92 games for Genk, laying on 11 assists last season. According to Ekrem Konur, Karetsas is a target for Leeds this summer as well as Chelsea, Milan, Everton and Brighton.
“Leeds are monitoring Konstantinos Karetsas, though he prefers a Bundesliga move. Valued at €35–40m; Dortmund’s €30m bid was rejected. Milan have made him a top target; Everton, Brighton, Chelsea, too.”
Dortmund, though, are on pole position. The German side have seen a £26m bid rejected for Karetsas, with Genk valuing their young star between £30m and £34m. Leeds would do well to tempt him.
Pavel Sulc situation as Julian Brandt remains a target
Leeds have also been linked with an ambitious move for Lyon’s Czech Republic star Pavel Sulc after a wonderful first season in French football. Sulc had a hand in 21 goals for Lyon, playing 38 times.

It was claimed in French media that Leeds want to bring him to Elland Road. But Graham Smyth says on the YEP’s website that while Leeds are aware of the World Cup star, he is not a player actively pursued.
Brandt, meanwhile, is a player Leeds would love to sign. Smyth states that his father visited Leeds last week and talks are ongoing, but nothing is close to materialising with other clubs interested in him.
