Leeds United transfer rumours latest, including updates on Sam Greenwood’s exit, Bilal El Khannouss, and Arnaud Kalimuendo.
The transfer window has just over three weeks remaining for the 49ers and Leeds United, who are running out of time as they look for players in the market and as more transfer news emerges to add to their seven summer signings.
A busy end to the summer still lies ahead at Leeds as Daniel Farke looks to improve several areas of the side, with the Leeds squad getting closer to completion and feeling more ready ahead of the club’s return to the Premier League.
Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Sean Longstaff, Anton Stach, and Lucas Perri have all bolstered Leeds’ ranks in recent months, meaning they are making plenty of progress but more are still set to follow.
In the meantime, with vital weeks ahead for the recruitment team and with Farke’s team in pre-season ahead of Everton visiting Elland Road, here we have taken a look at some of the latest transfer news and the biggest headlines coming out of the club.

Sam Greenwood lined up for Championship switch
Seven players could still seal Leeds exits, including Sam Greenwood after returning from Preston North End in the summer. The 23-year-old is now in the final year of his Leeds contract.
Earlier this summer, reports said that Leeds wanted a fee of over £3 million for trio Greenwood, Darko Gyabi, and Joe Gelhardt.
Now the attacking midfielder is closing in on a switch back to the second tier, having spent the last two seasons with Middlesbrough and Preston. Greenwood is in talks over a permanent Championship move to an unnamed club.

Newcastle United become a serious player in the Bilal El Khannouss race
Bilal El Khannouss has emerged as a Leeds target this summer but other interest is still noticeable, with Crystal Palace also in for El Khannouss and other Premier League interest has emerged in the Leicester City playmaker.
Leeds’ interest has been the most serious of any of the reported teams thus far and it is also stated that wages should not be an issue for Leeds with El Khannouss. However, they will have to win the race over stern competition.
That is because Newcastle United want El Khannouss. Eddie Howe’s side are a Champions League outfit once again for 2025/26, too. It does not look like being a simple deal for the Whites amid his clause expiring in the coming days.

Arnaud Kalimuendo rejects Leeds after Andrea Pinamonti
Sassuolo’s Andrea Pinamonti rejected the move to Leeds in favour of the Serie A if the latest reports are to be believed. However, he is not the only striker of interest, with Leeds in the mix for Rennes Arnaud Kalimuendo.
Years back, Kalimuendo was the subject of a £17 million bid from Leeds during Jesse Marsch’s era at the club. Now, after a brilliant season with Rennes, it’s reported that the 23-year-old Kalimuendo is back on Leeds’ radar this summer.
Prior to relegation Leeds wanted Kalimuendo but nothing materialised. Now, there are mixed reports regarding Kalimuendo turning an opportunity down with Leeds.
