Leeds United are expected to prioritise attacking signings in the January transfer window as the Whites look to improve Daniel Farke’s options, while staying on the right side of PSR.
The end of the summer window saw Leeds miss out on Facundo Buonanotte and Harry Wilson, before managing director Robbie Evans said another signing would have pushed Leeds over the PSR line.
Who do you want Leeds to sign in January? A striker surely has to be the priority!
Yet, it is clear that Leeds need more in attack. Whether that is another striker or a player who can link the midfield to the attack is unclear. Whether Daniel Farke even makes it to January is also an unknown.
But if Leeds are to survive relegation, with Farke in the dugout or another manager, the 49ers will know that new signings are needed. Reports in Africa claim Leeds remain interested in Christantus Uche.

Leeds United could make a new move for Crystal Palace attacker
In the summer, Leeds were heavily linked with a move for Getafe’s Christantus Uche. The young Nigeria star joined Getafe in the summer of 2024 as an unknown, but would go on to have a hand in 13 goals.
He joined Palace in the most recent window, with some reports saying Palace beat Leeds in a two-horse race for the versatile attacker. But since, Uche has managed just 67 minutes of game time for Palace.
Only eight of those have come in the Premier League and reports say Palace have opted to cancel the attacker’s loan at Selhurst Park. Now, Africa Foot claim Leeds could make a bid of £13m to sign Uche.

The FIFA rule that is likely to see Leeds delay move for Uche
Uche played for Getafe at the start of the season and has since featured for Palace. Aside from special circumstances, players are not permitted to play for more than two clubs in the same season.
That means Uche is left stuck come January. He can either try to force his way into the team if Palace end up keeping him, or he returns to Getafe to play. Uche cannot play for Leeds or any other club this term.
Players can be registered for three teams, but only play for two. That means Leeds have two options if they do insist on pursuing Uche in January. Sign him, and loan him to Getafe, or wait until the summer.
Africa Foot say Leeds remain interested in Uche and could offer him an escape route, and while there could be interest from Elland Road, it is wrong to suggest that Uche could play for Leeds this season.
