Daniel Farke has made it clear in the past that he is not a big fan of making January additions to his Leeds United side, but Leeds are being linked with a few options ahead of the winter window.
There are areas in this Leeds side that Farke may choose to pursue in January. He never got competition in the 10 role to rival Brenden Aaronson and that is a likely port of call for Leeds in the January window.
Graham Smyth thinks Leeds will try to get a Premier League no.10 on loan, and even hinted at a possible striker move if one is available with Joel Piroe, Mateo Joseph and Patrick Bamford good, but not great.
But another signing could be made on the left of the defence. Junior Firpo remains out of contract and Leeds are being linked with a move for a player currently playing for a Championship promotion rival.

Don Goodman thinks Leeds signing Dennis Cirkin is unlikely
Leeds are being linked with a move for Sunderland’s Dennis Cirkin. A player that has starred for The Black Cats since his move from Spurs to the Stadium of Light, helping Sunderland win League One promotion.
Described as “aggressive” by Tony Mowbray, Cirkin even scored last time out for Sunderland. The Black Cats are desperate to keep Cirkin and have made a new deal for Cirkin a priority at Sunderland.
But speaking to FLW, Don Goodman doesn’t think there’s much chance of Leeds signing Cirkin: “I would love to think that there is no way Sunderland would allow Dennis Cirkin to leave, especially to Leeds.
“He’s one of the best left-backs in the Championship and scored a great goal against Coventry at the weekend. He would be a brilliant addition for Leeds but I’m not sure I can see it happening.
“After selling Jack Clarke in the summer, it would cause uproar among fans if they sold another one of their young stars. I can see why Leeds are interested, if I was Sunderland, I’d be having none of it.”

Dennis Cirkin would be a wonderful signing, but there’s an issue
Cirkin would be a sensational addition but his form has not gone amiss and that means his value will have already rocketed. Indeed, Sunderland expert Luke Phelps told us £15m might be required to sign Cirkin.
The chances of Leeds spending that much, not only in a January window but overall, seems unlikely. Cirkin has a clause in his current Sunderland deal that will see Tottenham receive a percentage of any cash fee.
It means that Sunderland will want top dollar for Cirkin, given some of it will have to go to his boyhood club. As Goodman says, a good signing but the chances of Leeds spending the necessary money is small.
