All the focus at Leeds United has been on bringing players to the club with Anton Stach set to become the sixth arrival of the summer, in a deal worth north of £17m from Hoffenheim.
It is not the first time Leeds have done business with the German club, having signed Georginio Rutter from Hoffenheim in January 2023 for a club-record fee. It also sees Daniel Farke pack his midfield options.
Five central midfielders will be vying to start, with Farke changing his system to a 4-3-3 on Saturday in Sweden. It looks like Farke will use a more defensive system after Leeds were promoted to the top tier.
But players will have to leave. Max Wober, Junior Firpo, Joe Rothwell, Josuha Guilavogui and Manor Solomon have departed from the first team, while 10 youngsters saw their contracts at Leeds expire.

Leeds United 16-year-old confirms he has left Elland Road
Talents like Cian Coleman, Harry Christy and Luca Thomas were all told that their contracts would not be renewed at Thorp Arch. Now, another youngster has confirmed he is leaving Leeds this summer.
Oliver Boast scored nine goals in 18 Under-18 Premier League games last season, despite only being 16 and born in 2009. That has of course, attracted interest. Reports say Boast is about to join Tottenham.
After eight years on the books at Elland Road, Boast took to Instagram over the weekend to confirm that he is leaving Leeds. He thanked the club ahead of what he described as a “new chapter”.
He captioned the post: “After 8 years at Leeds United, it’s now time for me to move on and start a new chapter. I’ve been lucky enough to share some amazing moments with great teammates.
“The memories we shared will stay with me forever. A big thank you to everyone at Leeds who has helped me over the years – I wish the club all the best for the future!”

Details of Oliver Boast’s reported move to Tottenham from Leeds
Beren Cross at The Athletic reported the news earlier this month that Boast was set to join Tottenham from Leeds. A deal that sees Leeds lose one of their prized assets, a youngster far ahead of the curve.
Not only had Boast scored at U18 level despite only turning 16 in May, but he has done so on a regular basis. His goals last season include a hat-trick against Wolves and a brace at Newcastle in a 3-3 draw.
Boast even made his Premier League 2 debut. Little surprise that there has been interest, but Cross now says that Boast is joining Tottenham for a seven-figure fee. The need for a tribunal has been avoided.
Clubs can agree a fee or go to tribunal for young players such as Boast, where a fee is then ordered to be paid. Tottenham and Leeds have an excellent relationship and now, Boast is the latest to make the move.
