A Leeds United player has agreed to re-sign for the club he has spent the last 12 months with on loan, a move which sees a third of Victor Orta’s eight-strong loan army sort out their future.
Robin Koch and Luis Sinisterra have since joined Frankfurt and Bournemouth on a permanent basis. It leaves Marc Roca, Jack Harrison, Rasmus Kristensen, Diego Llorente, Max Wober and Brenden Aaronson.
Phil Hay has claimed only two of those six can go back out on loan and confirmed that one of those is Harrison, who’s been a key player under Sean Dyche at Everton as they escaped the threat of relegation.
Llorente is expected to return to Roma permanently after hinting on Instagram this week that news is coming. Kristensen is set to return, as is Aaronson while Gladbach are struggling to afford Wober.
Now, an update on left-footed midfielder Roca who clocked up 37 outings for Betis during his loan in La Liga. A report from Spain says a deal has been done for the midfielder ahead of the summer window.

Roca really struggled during his time at Elland Road, initially impressing but with the tough-tackling USA skipper Tyler Adams. The latter impressed so much he earned a £23m permanent move to Bournemouth.
Adams got injured at the midway point of the 2022-23 season and it left Roca exposed in midfield. Spain suits Roca much more and that is why El Desmarque say the midfielder has rejoined Betis for a year.
With Leeds failing to get promotion in the play-off final, it allowed Betis to sign Roca on loan again and a deal is agreed between all three parties and a deal will be done in time for pre-season to start on July 8.
Jesse Marsch said Roca had a “high-ceiling”, but not in England
Recently, Marsch said that Roca had plenty of potential and a high ceiling but ultimately, that was never achieved in a Leeds shirt. Roca was always better off back in his home country, where he last impressed.
Indeed, Roca starred at Espanyol and it earned him a move to Bayern Munich but in two years, he only managed 24 games. So, for three years outside of Spain, Roca has struggled and is now back in Spain.
It is no surprise that he has rediscovered his best form even if he fell out of the side towards the end of last season. Roca then will continue in Spain for at least another year, with his deal ending in June 2026.
