Having lost out in the race to sign Igor Paixao from Feyenoord, Leeds United fans are eagerly waiting to see where The Whites will turn to next in their pursuit of a left-sided winger.
Leeds have sorted out the need for a goalkeeper with the £15.6m addition of Lucas Perri, the defence with Gabriel Gudmundsson, Jaka Bijol and Sebastiaan Bornauw, and two signings in central midfield.
Anton Stach and Sean Longstaff have given Daniel Farke what he wanted in midfield and now, focus turns to the need of a left-winger and a striker. Paixao was the priority on the left, to replace Manor Solomon.
But Marseille have finally agreed a fee for Paixao, with the Brazilian always preferring a move to Roberto De Zerbi’s side. Leeds are left in the lurch and now looking elsewhere, with an Italian winger on the radar.

Leeds open talks to sign Fiorentina man after AC Milan loan
Back in January and after 30 goals and assists in 138 appearances for Fiorentina, Riccardo Sottil joined AC Milan on loan. A loan deal that saw Milan pay an initial £1m, plus a permanent fee of around £9m.
But after just eight Milan appearances and failing to make any kind of impact during the second half of last season, 26-year-old Sottil is back with La Viola. But, it doesn’t seem like he will remain for very long.
Italian outlet TMW say a number of Italian sides are interested with Torino pushing for a loan-to-buy deal. But Leeds are also interested in Sottil, making enquiries to Fiorentina with reports emerging on Monday.
Riccardo Sottil excluded from Fiorentina’s tour of England
Fiorentina have travelled to England and will be based at St. George’s Park. They are playing relegated Leicester City, before facing Premier League sides Manchester United and Nottingham Forest in August.

But TMW report that Sottil has not been included in Fiorentina’s travelling squad, with the winger now expected to move on. Sottil, who can play on either flank, is clearly on the chopping block at Fiorentina.
With two years left on his contract, Fiorentina are under no pressure to sell the wide man but clearly want to. It is unclear how much Leeds or any other interested parties will have to pay, but he is on the move.
