Leeds United now want to sign two players who have exactly the same agents

Following the signing of Jayden Bogle, it was unclear which way Leeds United would turn in the transfer market but now it is clear with two new targets appearing in quick succession.

Bogle’s signing came for a fee of £5m from rivals Sheffield United and immediately solves the right-back issue after the departures of Luke Ayling, Connor Roberts, Archie Gray, Rasmus Kristensen and others.

With the return of Max Wober and Brenden Aaronson, the signings of Joe Rothwell, Joe Rodon, Bogle and Alex Cairns and youth stars coming through like Charlie Crew, James Debayo and more, Leeds look solid.

Leeds are not stopping there. In the last 24 hours, they’ve been strongly linked with the Championship’s top scorer in Sammie Szmodics, and League One’s second most-creative player in Harrison Burrows.

Leeds eye duo Sammie Szmodics and Harrison Burrows

Ireland star Szmodics starred for Blackburn last season and scored 33 goals in total, 27 of which were in the Championship. The striker has been on fire for Rovers and is clearly worthy of a Premier League club.

Whether Leeds can convince him remains to be seen, with Ipswich chasing the forward. Blackburn have set a deadline for clubs to make bids for Szmodics by the end of July, or a deal to sell Szmodics is off.

The other is Burrows, with the Peterborough United star having a hand in 30 goals last term. The 22-year-old is in the final year of his contract at London Road. Leeds are said to be keen on luring Burrows north.

Both Szmodics and Burrows are represented by same agent

What is interesting, is that both Szmodics and Burrows are looked after by the same agency according to TransferMarkt. Sterling Sports have two on their books according to the outlet, Szmodics and Burrows.

Of course, Szmodics played for League One promotion hopefuls Peterborough before his move to Ewood Park and that is likely to be when he was picked up by Burrows’ current agent. It may play in Leeds favour.

With Leeds likely to enter talks with Sterling Sports over the next few days, striking a solid relationship might not only help The Whites get one of the two targets – but indeed, both.
