Leeds United are among the club being linked with a right-back currently shining north of the border in Scotland, but his manager has warned Leeds that they are under no pressure to sell.

The Whites continue to be linked with new names as we edge closer to the January transfer market. Last January, Leeds only signed one player and that lack of depth caused an issue in the final few matches.

Ipswich meanwhile, went big in January and it saw Kieran McKenna’s side get over the line. That might be on Daniel Farke’s mind with the need to improve his options in the no.10 role, and to find a goalscorer.

But, Leeds have been linked with new signings all over the pitch and it might be that Leeds do enter the January window. Especially, if they are forced to replace any potential exits over the next six years.

Leeds United want Falkirk’s flying right-back Keelan Adams

The Falkirk Herald say Leeds, Rangers and Swansea are among the clubs interested in signing Falkirk’s 23-year-old right-back Keelan Adams. He has been on fire this season, having a hand in eight goals this term.

Adams has scored three goals and laid on five assists in his 24 appearances in all competitions. The right-back has been immense with Falkirk currently sitting five clear at the top of the Scottish Championship.

Leeds do have options on the right of the defence at the moment, in the form of Jayden Bogle, Sam Byram and Isaac Schmidt. But Adams may just tempt Leeds if The Whites lose a couple of options.

Falkirk manager says his side under no pressure to sell Adams

Falkirk have been flying under manager John McGlynn and speaking to The Herald, he said that it is a good thing there is interest in Adams but after a cup run to the quarter-finals, there is no pressure to sell.

“I’d be surprised if there wasn’t (interest) in Keelan, he has been so good. I’d be disappointed if there was no interest. If it materialises into anything, who knows. Certainly, no one has came to me and enquired.

“We hope for him to be here for the foreseeable and certainly beyond this window. We’ve brought in money from our cup runs and our fans backing. We’ve played Celtic and Hearts – we don’t need to sell.”

This feels like it might be more of a long-term target given the currentoptions at right-back. What is interesting, is that Adams is represented by SMI Sports Management, who also look after Jack Clarke.
