With Gabriel Gudmundsson on board and Sean Longstaff set to follow this week, Leeds United have already made five new signings, but plenty more are expected at Elland Road.

Gudmundsson was confirmed on Tuesday evening, signing a four-year deal with Leeds paying Lille a £10m fee. The Swede is a direct replacement for Junior Firpo at left-back, with Firpo leaving on a free.

Leeds are also expected to sign Sean Longstaff this week, taking the total number of additions to five. But Adam Underwood has plenty more left to do, not least including a replacement for Manor Solomon.

Solomon has chosen to remain at Tottenham and give a go at winning a place back in Thomas Frank’s side. Frank is keen on looking at Solomon in pre-season, so Leeds need a new left-sided winger.

Leeds United have tabled a £13m bid to sign Jeremie Boga

Surprisingly, given Solomon’s stance and his return to Spurs, Leeds have not been linked with many left-sided wingers this summer. But that has changed, according to a report from African outlet Africa Foot.

They claim that Leeds have tabled a bid worth £13m to sign Nice’s 21-time Ivory Coast winger Jeremie Boga. A player that was in Chelsea’s academy from 12 years old, eventually leaving for Sassuolo in 2018.

Now at Ligue 1 side Nice, Boga will be representing his country in the African Cup of Nations during the 2025-26 season. Yet, Leeds are said to have made a bid for Boga even if a move to Turkey is touted.

Jeremie Boga shares agent with two historical Leeds figures

According to TransferMarkt, Boga is represented by French agency Sport Cover. A company that looks after the likes of Patrick Vieira, Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris and Inter Milan’s Marcus Thuram.

Sport Cover also look after two players that Leeds have signed in recent history. The first of which is Jean-Kevin Augustin, who played just three times for Leeds and ending up costing north of £20m after court.

Hadi Sacko, too, who at 31 is now a free agent after playing for a number of different clubs in Turkey. Boga has bags of pace, huge flair and the ability to create magic, even if he has not done it regularly.
