Leeds United are interested in Charleroi midfielder Yassine Titraoui this summer amid a transfer race for him.
The Athletic assessed the Whites’ squad on Tuesday, explaining that much of the club’s transfer business will be focused on strengthening their options in the final third.
However, Leeds United are expected to address a few other areas, including left-back, where they are tipped to sign a new player to provide competition to Gabriel Gudmundsson.
Daniel Farke‘s side are said to be happy with their options in midfield, but things could change depending on Ao Tanaka’s future at Elland Road.
The Japan international impressed in the final stretch of the season, but appeared to be an obvious candidate to be sold this summer after spending seven months on the fringes of Farke’s squad prior to that.

Leeds United monitoring Yassine Titraoui
It has now emerged that Leeds United are interested in Charleroi midfielder Titraoui as they assess their options ahead of the new season.
According to the Daily Mail, the West Yorkshire outfit have ‘followed his progress’ in recent months with a view to strengthening their midfield.
Apart from Leeds, Sunderland and Marseille have also been keeping tabs on the Algeria international, who is set to feature at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

However, Hull City appear to be leading the race to sign the 22-year-old, as they explore a deal to sign him this summer.
The Tigers are looking into the possibility of bringing Titraoui to the MKM Stadium in a bid to bolster their ranks ahead of their return to the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Charleroi are demanding around £10million for the midfielder’s sale.

Who is Algeria and Charleroi midfielder Titraoui?
Titraoui rose through the ranks at Algerian side Paradou AC before joining Charleroi in Belgium in 2024.
He has since made 74 appearances across all competitions for the Jupiler Pro League club, bagging seven goals and five assists.
Titraoui is a box-to-box midfielder capable of chipping in with goal contributions, while also linking up play.
The youngster made his senior debut for Algeria as an 18-year-old in 2021 and is now set to feature in the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.
While he would not be an immediate starter, Titraoui could still be a great recruit at Elland Road, with the possibility of generating a significant profit a few years down the line.
