Leeds United could look to target the addition of two new loan signings in the January transfer window.
The Whites already have a strong squad after making nine new signings in the summer but with automatic promotion likely to be a distinct possibility, providing Daniel Farke with even more strength in depth would not be unwise.
Angus Kinnear suggested back in September at a Supporter Advisory meeting that loans would make up the bulk of Leeds’ January transfer strategy.
Graham Smyth of the Yorkshire Evening Post has now also reported that will be the case, with two loan slots still open following the summer.
Joe Rodon, Djed Spence and Jaidon Anthony all came in on season-long-loans from the Premier League, meaning there is the space for two more in a matchday squad, should Leeds wish to do so.
Leeds should target a couple of signings
Farke’s strong pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen’s Nadiem Amiri in the final week of the window would hint that he is not overly satisfied with his options at number 10.
Amiri is set to ask to leave Leverkusen in January due to his lack of minutes this season, but it is unclear as to whether Leeds will return for him given his summer antics.

It is also difficult to see Leverkusen sanctioning a loan move for Amiri as he is out of contract at the end of the season, and January represents their last chance to get a fee for him.
Left-back is the other area that could do with strengthening, particularly if Junior Firpo makes an exit amid reported interest from Real Betis.
Sam Byram is undoubtedly Leeds’ first choice in that position but both he and Firpo have questionable injury records, which is always a risk.
