Leeds United’s search for new attackers this summer has seen them turn their attentions towards a former Manchester United youngster.

Daniel Farke made it clear in his press conference on Thursday that he wants to see two new attackers come through the door before the end of the window.

Leeds have lost a total of 50 goal contributions from last season’s team in the last two weeks, with Georginio Rutter set to follow Crysencio Summerville to the Premier League.

As such, the pressure is on Leeds to find some adequate replacements and among those to have been linked include Norwich City’s Jonathan Rowe, Crystal Palace’s Jesurun Rak-Sakyi and Burnley’s Manuel Benson.

Unfortunately, all three of those deals look tough to pull off, with Rowe keen on a move to Marseille, Rak-Sakyi set to join Sheffield United and Burnley unlikely to sell after losing to Wilson Odobert to Tottenham.

Leeds eye move for Almeria’s Largie Ramazani

Domestically, it is difficult to see where Leeds would go after Rowe, Rak-Sakyi or Benson. Jack Clarke would be a good signing, but will cost a fortune.

With that in mind, Leeds may have to look abroad as a way of finding some suitable replacements, and it appears as though that is what they have done.

According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Leeds have tried to sign Almeria winger Largie Ramazani this summer, with Besiktas and AEK Athens also keen.

Unfortunately, however, it looks as though Leeds will be coming up dry in the race for Ramazani, with Tavolieri referring to the Whites’ pursuit in the past tense.

Instead, Ramazani is in talks with current club Almeria over extending his contract until 2028, despite the fact they were relegated from La Liga last season.

Who is Leeds target Largie Ramazani?

Ramazani is an extremely versatile attacker who is right-footed but primarily plays off the left hand side.

Having said that, Ramazani has also played plenty of matches as a right-winger and central attacking midfielder, making his versatility an attractive trait for Leeds.

Ramazani is a product of the Manchester United academy and actually made one senior appearance for the Red Devils in the Europa League all the way back in 2019.

Since then, the Belgian has developed really well at Almeria, scoring 21 goals and providing nine assists in 127 appearances. He got scored three and assisted five as the Spanish side were relegated from La Liga last season.
