The latter fortnight of the summer window saw Leeds United attempt to lure an attacking midfielder to Elland Road, but the Whites failed in moves for Facundo Buonanotte and Harry Wilson.
Leeds continue to be reminded of their failure to sign more attacking bodies, even now, after the end of the window. Igor Paixao scored a brace in the Champions League for Marseille against Ajax, last week.
On Sunday, Bilal El Khannouss netted his third Stuttgart goal with the winner against Heidenheim, as he glided past several defenders before an inch-perfect finish. The need for more attacking players remains.
Leeds may enter the January market in an attempt to sign another attacker, even if Robbie Evans claims Leeds have maxed out PSR. A loan deal may suit and Leeds have already been linked with new players.

Leeds could sign Inter Milan star on loan due to huge wages
Since the end of the window, Leeds have been linked with Serie A duo Lorenzo Pellegrini and Piotr Zielinski. Pellegrini will be a free agent next summer, and Gian Piero Gasperini has told Pellegrini to go.
Especially, with the World Cup next summer, Pellegrini needs game time. Zielinski, meanwhile, has a deal until 2028 at Inter Milan but is struggling to start matches. He started his first game in Europe last week.
Now, Inter Live say Inter could be tempted to sanction a loan, to wipe some of his pay cheque off the wage bill. President Beppe Marotta does not see releasing him as an option, but could accept a loan.

Zielinski earns a massive £140,000 a week per tax, and the report states Inter could sanction a free loan in order to wipe some of the £19m they will pay Zielinski in wages until his contract ends in June 2028.
What Zielinski has said about his Inter Milan future…
Clearly, Zielinski will feel he deserves to start games. But the 101-time Poland star has huge competition ahead of him, like Hakan Calhanoglu, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Nico Barella. The midfield is star-studded.
Speaking after his first start, which resulted in a 3-0 win over Slavia Prague, Zielinski suggested he sees his future at Inter. Understandably so, given he will still have two and a half years left to run come January.

But if the Pole continues to struggle in winning game time between now and January, he may push for a loan move and why not chance his arm in the Premier League with a side crying out for attacking quality.
