Leeds United are closing in on the signing of Noah Okafor from AC Milan with an announcement due at any minute, but Leeds are in the market for another striker, if the latest reports are to be believed.

Fabrizio Romano says Okafor has passed a medical and confirmation will follow today. At the time of writing, nothing has been confirmed by Milan or Leeds, but Okafor was spotted travelling to Yorkshire.

However, Leeds see Okafor as a winger rather than a striker even if he can play in both positions. The Switzerland ace will be seen as the club’s replacement for Manor Solomon, after he returned to Spurs.

Meanwhile, Leeds have three senior options up front. Injury-prone Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha, as well as Joel Piroe. Piroe has admitted he has had approaches this summer, but rejected them.

Leeds now make an enquiry for Stuttgart’s Ermedin Demirovic

It is unclear if Leeds will go after another striker, but reports suggest they will. Last week, £35m-rated Ermedin Demirovic was linked with a move to Leeds, and now Florian Plettenberg has an update for fans.

On Thursday morning, the Sky Germany reporter claimed that Leeds and Nottingham Forest have now made an enquiry to sign Demirovic. He claims that Demirovic will only entertain a big move this summer.

He said on X: “There have been many enquiries from the Premier League, most recently from Leeds and Nottingham Forest. His contract runs until 2028. Demirovic is only willing to consider top offers.”

Ermedin Demirovic has been compared to Villa’s Ollie Watkins

There is a world that Ollie Watkins could have been a Leeds player. But the England international joined Aston Villa from Brentford and the rest is history. Ironically, Demirovic has been compared to Watkins.

The Bundesliga’s site says: “He always puts in a shift, as comfortable on the flanks as he is up top, and capable of playing on the shoulder of the last defender. All of that sounds eerily similar to Ollie Watkins.”

In the same article, Stuttgart’s managing director Fabian Wohlgemuth describes Watkins as “special”. This would be a sensational signing but the question is, do Leeds want another striker and are they in for one?
