Leeds United and Nottingham Forest are keen on Dilane Bakwa of RC Strasbourg this deadline day.
The winger is a left-footed forward, who can create and score. Bakwa has been on Leeds United’s radar for a while, with the 23-year-old developing into an excellent player over the last few seasons in Ligue 1.
The problem is, talented players are never short of other interest. Leeds are not the only Premier League club keen on Strasbourg’s gem. Fulham have ‘advanced talks’ for Bakwa in recent days and Nottingham Forest remain very keen on Bakwa.
Forest had a £26 million bid for Bakwa rejected and it’s also believed that Forest went as high as a £30 million Bakwa bid. Nothing then materialised since until deadline day, with Strasbourg initially standing firm.

Leeds target Dilane Bakwa set for Nottingham Forest in £34 million move
Updates yesterday were that Fulham and Forest remained in the Bakwa race ahead of the transfer deadline. That information comes after Bakwa revealed his last game for Strasbourg had been played recently in a European Conference League clash.
Despite the Frenchman saying that against Brondby IF, Bakwa shone for Strasbourg last night against AS Monaco from the bench. However, that looks to be his last ever game for the side instead.
Sacha Tavolieri then revealed a deal for the Leeds target to head to Forest is now ‘back on’ and there have been further updates since that announcement.
Sky Sports’ Rob Dorsett has revealed that Bakwa, a long-term target and much admired at City Ground, is heading to Forest. He says a fee being discussed is worth over €40 million (£34 million), and he’s told Forest confident of completing the deal before the deadline.
Leeds will have to pivot elsewhere for the last hours of deadline day instead, with other creative options in mind for the club to now move on.

Dilane Bakwa’s contract details at Forest
Tavolieri’s latest update is that the deal is almost done and he has revealed Forest’s details regarding a transfer as well.
He adds that Bakwa is expected in the next hours to fly to Nottingham for medical tests and complete a transfer on a five-year contract. It’s a huge blow for Leeds with so little time left.
