Daniel Farke has provided another transfer update in his press conference ahead of Leeds United’s trip to Sheffield Wednesday.
Farke seemingly cut a slightly more frustrated figure in his presser this afternoon as he was once again asked the state of play regarding incomings after another few days of nothing.
It is now over a month since Leeds last made a new signing and in that time, Farke has repeatedly made it clear he wants four new signings.
Having lost both Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter in the last few weeks, Leeds looked pretty toothless in attack at West Bromwich Albion, in what was their first league game without them in a year.
However, Leeds have not shown much in the way of urgency when it comes to replacing them, with just over 48 hours until the clash at Hillsborough.

Farke on whether Leeds will make signings before Sheff Wednesday
Links have started to pick up in the last few days but unfortunately, a lot of it has just been Leeds registering an interest, as opposed to making proper progress.
Burnley’s Manuel Benson has emerged as a concrete target, while Leeds are also set to battle the Clarets for Paris FC attacking midfielder Ilan Kebbal.
However, it feels unlikely either of those will be through the door imminently and that was a question put towards Farke in his press conference this afternoon.
The Leeds boss has already acknowledged there will be no new signings brought in, in time to be ready to face Sheffield Wednesday.
He said: “If you’d asked me a year ago, yes in a good way. Because the value of Archie, Cree and Georgi has increased so much, or Glen Kamara who was out of favour of Rangers. We had to stick to the rules, we knew this after not being promoted.
“We needed some earnings. Our hands were tied with the exit clauses. We’re working now a few weeks to find good and affordable solutions. It’s on the table what we want to do. As a manager you want to get things done sooner rather than later.
“We know what is necessary and I’m used to working with limited resources. I’m not crying here saying ‘make my life easier’. I know we will need to play the next game without new signings. Right now we have maximum one, perhaps two, games without the support of new signings.”
Farke has been hung out to dry by 49ers
Farke has spoken well about the issues surrounding the club in all of his press conferences, but the lack of communication from his bosses is shocking.
For the second season in a row, even though Paraag Marathe promised otherwise, Leeds are facing matches in August with a severely undercooked squad.
Leeds have known practically all summer Summerville would be going and yet they still haven’t found a replacement three weeks on from his exit.
With Rutter now also gone, Leeds have lost practically all of their attacking threat and yet those behind-the-scenes are showing no urgency to get anything done.
