Leeds United are in desperate need of a number 10 in the January transfer window, and they’ve just been given a perfect opportunity to land their man.
Daniel Farke has some strengthening to do in January if Leeds United are to secure promotion to the Premier League, with strength in depth of massive importance.
Brenden Aaronson has been deployed in the No.10 role of late, and whilst he impressed last time out against Oxford United, he’s struggled at times this season.
Wilfried Gnonto is the go-to man for assists this season for Leeds on five, but other than that it’s been pretty shared across the squad.
However, that could soon change as Leeds United have been given the opportunity to move for a No.10 that has been on their radar ahead of January.
Lausanne considering selling Alvyn Sanches for £7.5 million in January
Alvyn Sanches has been linked with a move to Leeds United already ahead of January.
However, it remains to be seen as to whether he’ll fancy a move to the Championship, as there are plenty of suitors from elsewhere.

Interestingly, it’s now been claimed by Corriere dello Sport that Lausanne are considering the possibility of selling him in January or June.
His contract runs out in 2026 and the idea of extending the agreement has faded.
It’s stated that Newcastle sought him, whilst Lazio and Fiorentina are also taking an interest, with it costing €9m (£7.5m) to sign him.
Alvyn Sanches’ views on his future amid Leeds interest
It’s clear that Sanches may not want a move in January, despite his club considering selling him.
“My career plan is quite simple. As a young player, I have to have one: I want to finish the season with my club before being able to transfer to an intermediate club, allowing me to reach the highest level.”
He’s scored nine goals and has assisted three so far this season.
