Leeds United are on the verge of losing another member of their first team squad from last season.
It has been a busy week of both incomings and outgoings at Elland Road as Archie Gray’s £40 million move to Tottenham Hotspur kicked Leeds‘ window into action.
In what was reported as a separate transaction, Joe Rodon made his return to Leeds from Spurs to become the first signing of the summer.
But Gray was not the only Thorp Arch academy graduate to move on this week, with Jamie Shackleton making the decision to turn down the offer of a new contract.
Shackleton has instead opted to put pen-to-paper on a three-year contract at Sheffield United, bringing an end to his 17-year stay at his boyhood club. Decisions still remain on Liam Cooper and Cody Drameh.

Pope shares new update on Cresswell future
Leeds are now said to be in a much stronger position when it comes to PSR if their official statement on Gray’s exit is to be believed.
But that does not mean there won’t be anymore sales and Charlie Cresswell had reported to be on his way out of Leeds as well as Gray at the weekend.
Cresswell flew to France in order to finalise a £3.8 million move to Toulouse, but pulled out of the deal at the 11th hour due to a disagreement over personal terms.
Daniel Farke has made it clear Cresswell can still go this summer and according to BBC journalist Adam Pope, a move to Toulouse has been revived.
Pope claims a deal could be tied up in the next 48 hours after talks were restarted over personal terms, though there is other interest from Championship clubs.
Cresswell move best for all parties
Just like Gray, any fee Leeds receive for Cresswell will represent pure profit and given his lack of game time last season, it is a good deal for all parties.
Though it would have been nice for Leeds to get a fee closer to the £5 million mark, this is a deal that suits all parties.
Cresswell could not have afforded to have another season of sitting on the bench, and at 21, he is in serious need of playing regularly somewhere, which he should get in France.
However, this now definitely means Leeds will have to enter the market for another centre-back even after Rodon’s return.
