Leeds United are back in business. After six losses in seven and sitting in the relegation zone going into December, Leeds have since gone seven games unbeaten. Players will look at Leeds, tempted.
For Wolves and Burnley this month, attracting players that can make a difference in the Premier League will be tough, because players of Premier League standard won’t want to join the beleaguered sides.
That could easily have been Leeds. After the 3-2 loss to Man City, Farke was tasked with getting a result against Liverpool or Chelsea to save his job. Farke would beat Chelsea and draw late on against Liverpool.
£40m for Harry Gray is hard to ignore for Leeds… right?
He's only played once at senior level!
A lot of it is down to Farke’s move to a 3-5-2 system. While he has not used that system in every game since switching to it at half-time against Man City, it has made Leeds unpredictable to their opponents.
But it has also highlighted a lack of depth up top. With two strikers playing instead of one, both Lukas Nmecha and Dominic Calvert-Lewin injury prone, and Joel Piroe potentially going, Leeds need a striker.
There is a chance that Leeds United can sign Troy Parrott
Troy Parrott has been linked with Leeds. In the summer, Leeds turned down the chance to sign Parrott for £25m, and they have lived to regret it. Parrott has scored 16 goals for AZ this term, starring for Ireland.

A hero for his country, against Portugal and Hungary, to qualify for the World Cup play-offs. Leeds are claimed to still be in contact for Parrott and now, Ben Jacobs has delivered an update on Parrott’s future.
“A lot of people ask me about Troy Parrott,” transfer expert Jacobs said, during an interview with Last Word on Spurs this week. “Could he return to Spurs because he’s in excellent form?
“I’m told Leeds United and Everton are actually the two Premier League clubs looking and even West Ham United made an enquiry but there’s nothing to suggest that Spurs will come back in,” Jacobs continued.

What Jon Newsome has said about Leeds signing Troy Parrott
If his form in the Eredivisie, the Europa League and in an Ireland shirt is anything to go by, the former Spurs striker would be a stunning addition. With Leeds playing two up top, he would suit Leeds, too.
Parrott is very much in the mould of Harry Kane having played under him at Spurs, proving to have the ability and creativity to drop in and connect a midfield to an attack. Perfect, alongside Calvert-Lewin.
But Jon Newsome reckons Parrott would struggle to play: “Leeds come in for him, it’s tough for him to turn down, but are you going to play? Are you going to knock Calvert-Lewin out? In front of Nmecha?”
It feels unlikely that Leeds would sign Parrott in the January window. But, Leeds can spend between £20m and £25m before crossing PSR, and according to some reports, some at Leeds would love Parrott signed.
