Leeds United are closing in on a deal to sign Jaka Bijol from Udinese but The Whites may look to bring in another centre-back, and below are five names recently linked with a move to Elland Road.
Bijol has said yes to a move to Leeds and now it is up to Adam Underwood and his transfer team to agree a fee with Udinese. Gianluca Di Marzio reported a bid from Leeds had been rejected by the Serie A side.
Talks continue but with Max Wober told he will be sold by Leeds, The Whites may actually need another centre-back signing this summer. We discuss five centre-backs linked with a move alongside Bijol.

Five centre-backs linked with Leeds alongside Jaka Bijol
Juma Bah – Man City
Bought by Man City in January for just £5m after impressing at Real Valladolid, Sierre Leone international Bah went back out on loan to Lens for the second half of the season – and is set to do the same again.
Leeds are in the race for Bah alongside Paris FC, Koln and Southampton. But relegated Southampton are leading the charge because it was Will Still that signed him at Lens – and now wants a reunion with Saints.
Cameron Carter-Vickers – Celtic
Since his move to Celtic from Tottenham after a succession of Championship loans, the USA powerhouse has been excellent. Clocking up a huge 159 games in four years, he has won four Scottish league titles.

Little surprise, Carter-Vickers is being linked with a Premier League move with Leeds named as a suitor. However, Celtic are desperate to keep him and have slapped a £30m price tag on Carter-Vickers’ head.
Reinildo Mandava – Atletico Madrid
Mandava will leave Atletico Madrid on a free transfer this summer. Mandava had a clause in his deal that meant if he played more than 45 minutes or more in half of Atleti’s games, he would sign an extension.
But he only managed 17 of 55 and now, he will leave. Leeds have opened talks to sign the Mozambique international alongside other Premier League clubs for Mandava, who is a left-back but can play centrally.
Japhet Tanganga – Millwall
Incredibly, Tanganga has a release clause worth just £1.2m and obviously, that is attracting mass Premier League interest. Leeds are interested in Tanganga, along with Burnley, Sunderland and Crystal Palace.
However, Tanganga’s preference of club has emerged this weekend. The former Tottenham defender would rather join a club in Germany – having spent time on loan there – or move to a French outfit.

Dara O’Shea – Ipswich Town
Ireland international O’Shea has just been relegated with Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich but alongside Liam Delap, he was arguably their best player last season. Leeds are interested in O’Shea, as are Sunderland.
But O’Shea has spoken of his loyalty to Ipswich and desire to get them back into the Premier League come the end of 2025-26. For now, it looks as if O’Shea will remain with McKenna’s Tractor Boys.
