The January transfer window is just around the corner and Leeds United are likely to be in the market for a couple of new signings in order to improve the squad’s depth.
Josuha Guilavogui has already been brought in since the transfer window to provide Daniel Farke with some midfield depth, and even a touch of back-up in central defence in case injuries worsened at Leeds.
Ethan Ampadu, Ilia Gruev and Largie Ramazani are already long-term absentees, while Max Wober, Dan James, Isaac Schmidt, Manor Solomon and Patrick Bamford have spent time on the sidelines with injuries.
Farke will know that if he is to maintain another push for promotion this season, Leeds need more depth and a couple of signings in January would be much-needed – including the new addition of a left-back.

Leeds are eyeing a move for Sunderland left-back Dennis Cirkin. The 22-year-old has impressed at Leeds’ promotion rivals over the last few years, but a £6m buyback clause to Tottenham has now expired.
There is no way that Cirkin would be willing to join Leeds if he is second choice. A move in January is unlikely to materialise but come next summer, Leeds may make a move to land the Spurs academy ace.
Junior Firpo is suspended for the next two games and while a top-quality left-back, he cannot be relied upon. No stranger to injury or suspension, Firpo is also out of contract at the end of the current season.
Surely then, Leeds are planning for life without Firpo. Quality, yet unreliable and as things stand, set to leave on a free next summer. Interest in Sunderland’s Cirkin shows Leeds are compiling replacements.
