Leeds United have the ultimate weapon which could endorse a move for Southampton striker Adam Armstrong to make the jump to Elland Road.
Despite activity looking like a limited possibility for Leeds this transfer window, there are still definitely signs business can be done.
Even though Daniel Farke has kept shtum on signings it doesn’t rule out late transfer activity happening with the Whites.
Leeds are interested in Adam Armstrong in what is set to be a remarkable final transfer saga in this window, with Sunderland and Middlesbrough also keen.
In Leeds’ case though, they have a key advantage over their Championship rivals.

Leeds United looking at Adam Armstrong as Cameron Archer alternative
With Leeds keen to get a striker through the door, Armstrong could be the final piece to promotion back to the Premier League.
Armstrong’s interest does mean Leeds suffer a blow for Cameron Archer with Southampton only likely to let one option go this January.
But if Archer isn’t going, Leeds might as well throw their hat in the ring for Armstrong.
With high interest in the striker though, Leeds will have to work hard to get the deal done, however, Joe Rothwell could play a vital part.

Leeds have a secret weapon in Joe Rothwell to sign Armstrong
Rothwell and Armstrong have been a solid pairing experiencing tenures at Blackburn Rovers, and Southampton last campaign.
Now at Leeds, Rothwell could play his part in endorsing the move for Armstrong to come to Yorkshire.
This could happen due to Armstrong reacting to Rothwell’s Leeds move in the summer, which shows there is a clear bond between the pair who have experienced four seasons together.
Before joining Leeds, Rothwell was on loan at Southampton, as the now 30-year-old spoke to Southampton’s media suggesting who was in contact with him about his move to the Saints.
“Probably more so with Arma (Armstrong). He’s been on the phone most days asking what the update was and I didn’t have much to tell him!”
After Southampton’s promotion last season, ironically, Armstrong was the goalscorer who broke Leeds’ hearts in last season’s play-off final.
Now, Armstrong can make amends, as Rothwell can reunite with the striker at Elland Road.
