Leeds United need to keep up their momentum

Speaking to LUTV after the game, Aaronson urged his Leeds team-mates to keep up the momentum they have built in recent weeks.

Citing the example of Aston Villa, who have climbed away from the relegation places into title contention over the last three months, Aaronson claimed that Leeds have to keep pushing as they look to achieve safety in the Premier League.

The American forward said: “I think rhythm’s a huge thing and momentum’s a huge thing in this league. I mean, look at Aston Villa. They’ve won 10, 11 games in a row now. And it’s the same with some other teams.

“When you get momentum in this league, I think Fulham, nine points in a row, or three wins in a row, you just pull away from everybody.

“So I think momentum’s huge for us, so we’ve got to keep this going. And listen, it’s going to be a tough away game in Liverpool, but we’re up for it, and we’ve done great away from home in recent times, and we’ve got to keep doing it.”
