Leeds United’s stuttering attack kicked into life at Elland Road, with Brenden Aaronson starting the party against West Ham.
Brenden Aaronson needed just three minutes to open the scoring in Leeds’ crucial game against West Ham as they looked for their first win in three games.
Leeds started the game well, harrying the West Ham defence before Aaronson made up for his miss against Burnley to poke home from close range.
The Elland Road crowd was sent into ecstasy 12 minutes later, when Joe Rodon continued his recent goalscoring run by adding Leeds’ second.
Aaronson has been a lightning rod for criticism among the Leeds fanbase; however, they were all singing his praises as he ended his three-year wait for a Premier League goal.

Brenden Aaronson scores first Premier League goal in three years
Aaronson has previously admitted that he wants to add more threat to his game, and his goal is a welcome return to form for the American international.
It also ended a three-year wait since his only other Premier League goal, with definite similarities between the two.
Aaronson scored in the early stages of the 2022/23 season, as he picked Edouard Mendy’s pocket yards from the line as Leeds beat Chelsea under Jesse Marsch.
His second goal in the top flight was from marginally further out, but Leeds fans will not care as long as he keeps scoring.
