Archie Gray continued his wonderful form on the right of Leeds United’s defence despite playing out of his natural position, as Leeds smashed Ipswich today – and Yannick Bolasie has praised him.

Gray was involved in two of our four goals – winning the ball back before finding Georgie Rutter in the build up for the second, and then his driving run forward, for Leeds’ fourth. Another strong performance.

Pascal Struijk had given Leeds the lead with his fourth of the season, before Leif Davis scored an own goal on his return to Elland Road. Crysencio Summerville netted a penalty, and Joel Piroe made it four.

Gray continues to shine in numerous positions at just the age of 17. So much so that Borussia Dortmund have made the England U20 player a ‘major’ target ahead of the January window, one of four targets.

The youngster, who is still three months away from turning 18, took to Instagram after another excellent 90 minutes. Two interceptions, two shots, 80% successful passing and a rating of 6.93 on WhoScored.

The Leeds teen has come in for plenty of praise even today. Sky Sports man Andy Hinchcliffe heaped praise on the Whites ace. He will continue to be a key player, for the rest of the push for promotion.

What Gray is offering Farke, is a headache. When Sam Byram is fit and returns on the left side of the defence, he surely comes in – but does Djed Spence go to right-back? Or does Gray stay in the team?

Bolasie made his debut for Swansea in our 3-1 win at Elland Road and came up against Gray on the night – the duo seen talking after the match. Bolasie posted a star emoji on Gray’s Instagram today.
