Leeds United remain in the market for a new right-back this month.
The Whites are currently looking a little short in that area having lost Djed Spence and Luke Ayling earlier in the window, and Daniel Farke has admitted he would like some defensive reinforcements.
The Premier League loan market appears to be where Leeds are predominantly looking, with Neco Williams, Ben Johnson, Connor Roberts and Calvin Ramsay the names to have been linked.
Williams is said to be the one they really want this month, but with a deal looking almost impossible to pull off, they may have to turn to one of their other targets.
West Ham’s Johnson is one of those and Leeds could be in a decent position to negotiate, with the Athletic reporting the 23-year-old having turned down two contract offers from the Hammers, with his current deal expiring in the summer.

It is said that negotiations are expected to continue in the coming weeks, but the ‘wonderful’ Johnson wants assurances over his playing time, with minutes having been limited this season.
His one and only Premier League start of the season came in West Ham’s most recent match against Brighton. Prior to that, he had played just a single minute in the league all season.
It has also been reported that West Ham would be willing to loan out Johnson as long as a significant loan fee is paid, though David Moyes is also mulling over the possibility of giving him a run in the side.
This sounds like a saga that could run right until the very last days of the window and so Leeds may have to sit tightly if they really want to bring him to Elland Road.
Leeds are willing to be patient in order to secure their top targets but with less than 12 days to go, that will be tested.
