Wilfried Gnonto has delivered his verdict on the performance of Crysencio Summerville in Leeds United’s 4-1 win over Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
Gnonto was responding to an Instagram post by Summerville earlier today after another stellar performance from the Dutchman to help Leeds return to winning ways.
The 21-year-old produced arguably the performance of the season across any match in the division so far, as he scored two goals and provided two assists, with Sky Sports pundit Matt Murray describing him as ‘brilliant’.
His second goal in particular was evidence of just how much better he was than those in the visitors’ XI, as he twisted and turned one way and another, before firing an effort into the bottom corner.
Summerville’s performance against Huddersfield caps off a fine month of action from him on a personal note, having scored five and assisted three over the five matches in October.
Gnonto blown away by Summerville display
Summerville’s display has won his plaudits from across the footballing world, with Liverpool’s Ryan Gravenberch and Tottenham Hotspur’s Micky van de Ven among those to comment on his Instagram.
But Gnonto’s comment perhaps best sums up how everyone at Leeds is currently feeling about Summerville, simply responding with the ‘goat’ emoji.

Gnonto and Summerville have struck up a strong relationship both on and off the pitch over the last 12 months. Clearly the Italian is enjoying watching his teammate strut his stuff.
Summerville also ran over to celebrate with Gnonto after his first goal of the afternoon, as the 19-year-old warmed up in front of the West Stand having been named on the bench.
Hopefully soon Gnonto will be able to hit his stride like Summerville has done in recent weeks, as they are always a joy to watch at full tilt when playing alongside each other.
