It has been recently reported that Leeds United are interested in Noel Törnqvist and here is the all the information you need to know about the player, including his age, position and career so far.
It has been reported by Fotbollskanalen that Leeds are currently scouting goalkeeper Noel Tornqvist and the transfer update seems to show that they are planning for the future.
At the moment, Leeds look like they could get promoted from the Championship and back into the Premier League.
If this is the case then they will need to strengthen and it looks like Törnqvist is someone they are scouting to help improve the squad.
Who is Noel Tornqvist?
Noel Törnqvist is a 21-year-old who is currently a footballer for Mjällby AIF in the Allsvenskan. This division is the top tier in Sweden. Mjällby are currently a mid-table team and sit ninth in the division, but they are only six points from fifth.
The player has played in Sweden for his whole footballing career so far and before playing for his current club, Törnqvist was playing IS Halmia. Mjällby is his parent club but he actually did also have a loan spell at AFC Eskilstuna to gain more experience and more consistent game time. This club are not in the top division in Sweden.
Törnqvist was born on February 1st 2021. He was born in Sweden and has remained in that country throughout his career.
What position does Noel Törnqvist play?
The Swedish international, who has made three appearances for the U21 side, is a goalkeeper and he is six foot three inches. Many may be surprised to hear that Leeds are scouting another goalkeeper with Frenchman and current number one Illan Meslier only 23 years old. Leeds may either be planning to switch it up or they have just identified Törnqvist as a possible future option.

He looks like a player for the future and it will be interesting to see if these links to Leeds start to pick up as we get closer to the January transfer window.
