Leeds United swooped in to sign Jayden Bogle from Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United in the summer of 2024, paying around £5m for his signature.
It’s proven to be an absolute bargain as Bogle proved pivotal to Daniel Farke’s Championship title charge and found a knack for scoring goals.
It’s little surprise Sheffield United fans have booed Bogle in their fixtures, as they must be gutted he left.

Jayden Bogle age and height
Bogle was born on July 27th, 2000, which makes him 25 years old as of October 2025 and not even in the peak years of his career.
The Leeds star is approximately 1.78 metres in height, making him roughly five feet and ten inches, which is average height.
Jayden Bogle position
Bogle is a versatile defender who has played several different roles on the right flank,
He has predominantly played as a right-back or right-wing-back, but his attacking qualities have shown his ability to play as a winger, too.
Jayden Bogle’s career path
In his short career so far, Bogle has only played for a few different teams.
The defender had spells in the Reading and Swindon Town academies before Derby County made the move to land him in 2016.
He then spent two years in the youth setup before Frank Lampard handed him a debut in the 2018-19 season.
Bogle was a regular with the Rams for two seasons before he left the club to join Sheffield United in 2020.
The defender made over 100 appearances for the Blades, while his career also includes four caps for the England under-20s squad.
Is Jayden Bogle related to Omar Bogle?
Jayden Bogle and Omar Bogle have both been on the EFL scene for the past few years, with the duo becoming well-recognised names in their own right.
While they share a last name, there is no relation between the pair, who have been on separate paths during their football journey.
Jayden Bogle’s style of play
Bogle is a full-back who possesses the attacking instincts desired from a modern defender, offering plenty of threat from deeper positions.
The star enjoys causing havoc on the wing but is more than comfortable with crashing into the box to create a goal threat.
In the Premier League last season, Bogle scored three times for a Sheffield United team that struggled to resist relegation.
His ability to find areas to arrive and strike – with a shot that many goalkeepers struggle to keep out – is a testament to those forward-thinking instincts.
There will be questions about his defensive capabilities and the quality of his crossing, but those are skills that can certainly be worked on.
Frank Lampard praise for Bogle
With Frank Lampard being the man who handed Bogle his debut, there have been some moments of praise from the former England and Chelsea star.
Speaking back in 2018, the former Derby boss said on the Leeds transfer target: “He instantly showed maturity.
“He thoroughly deserves his contract and I hope that he will be an exciting player for us for a long time.”
