Leeds United take on Millwall on Wednesday night as Daniel Farke takes his side to The Den to face an in-form outfit confident after their win over high-flying Burnley on Sunday.
Leeds go into the game after seven games without defeat, sitting pretty in second place and only three points behind leaders Sunderland. But there is a long way to go, with 33 Championship games left to go.
The 14th of the season comes in London on Wednesday night, in a game that sees two rivals go head to head again. A manager in Neil Harris, that has often been the source and the instigator of the rivalry.
Millwall manager Harris said how he is rallying his side over the weekend, claiming the win over Burnley was just a warm-up for the real deal of Leeds on Wednesday night. He expects an “electric” atmosphere.

In the same fixture a little over six years ago in Marcelo Bielsa’s first season as Leeds boss, Jack Harrison equalised in the 89th minute to secure a 1-1 draw. Samu Saiz celebrated in front of the Millwall dugout.
Others from the Leeds bench celebrated wildly as if they had won the match, as Harrison slammed in an effort into the bottom corner. Harris was incredibly annoyed with Leeds’ celebrations after the whistle.
He told the South London Press in 2018: “Marcelo has apologised in the press for his bench. I’ve already stated that my staff could’ve given the ball back slightly quicker, make it more accessible to get the ball.
“But their reaction to the goal is completely over the top and a disgrace in English football.”
Leeds have an excellent recent record against Millwall
Daniel Farke’s side won twice against Millwall last season, 2-0 at Elland Road and 3-0 away in a game that saw Joel Piroe score twice, and that will give Leeds confidence going into Wednesday night’s rival clash.

Whether Leeds can make it five wins from six ahgainst Millwall remains to be seen. They will be without Largie Ramazani, Ethan Ampadu, Ilia Gruev and Patrick Bamford who has been suffering with illness.
