Leeds United have been left with an unexpected conundrum on the right of defence in the event of relegation – with right-backs Cody Drameh and Rasmus Kristensen happy to stay at Elland Road this summer, so what do we do?

Luke Ayling is obviously our first-choice right-back, as things stand. He has signed a new deal that will keep Bill at Elland Road until June 2024. He has crucial experience of the Championship, and know how in winning the division.

So, while Ayling’s form has dipped in recent weeks, keeping the ex-Bristol City and Arsenal man at Elland Road this summer is paramount – even if he has angered some fans with a post on Instagram. Keeping Ayling at Leeds is key.

A wonderful second half of the season at Luton culminated in Drameh playing at Wembley and in the play-off final, Luton beat Coventry on penalties. Fabrizio Romano said over the weekend that Luton and Burnley want to sign him.
