Leeds United have allowed the likes of Junior Firpo, Manor Solomon, and Joe Rothwell to depart the club following the end of their deals at Elland Road.
Josuha Guilavogui was also released at the end of his Leeds United contract but the latter has been swift to find a new club immediately following his loan spell from AFC Bournemouth ending.
That is because Graham Smyth revealed yesterday that Rothwell is joining Scottish giants Rangers. He has since penned a three-year deal at Ibrox as the 49ers acted swiftly.
Rothwell was never likely to stay at Leeds following promotion to the Premier League, even if he impressed and some pundits argued Rothwell could have been utilised more by Daniel Farke.

Rangers will love what Leeds United fans are saying about Joe Rothwell
Farke even labelled Rothwell as one of the ‘best’ in the country, with the German clearly taking a liking to the midfielder last season, particularly during a spell where he featured frequently due to Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev injuries.
Instead, he will fight for trophies at Rangers, who have seen rivals Celtic win four titles on the bounce. Leeds fans think Rothwell will have a positive impact on the club, though.
Our very own Will Butcher said: “He’ll be incredible at Rangers 🤯”
Another Leeds fan added: “what a move for Rothwell, he would smash it at Rangers #lufc”
A further response to Smyth’s announcement read: “He’ll walk that league, great signing.”
In Rothwell’s shoes, it never looked like a return was on. Rothwell missed his family when at Leeds and they will hope to put down roots after signing his three-year deal in Glasgow.

Joe Rothwell’s praise of Leeds since signing for Rangers
When asked about his experience with Leeds after signing for the Gers, Rothwell was full of praise for the side he featured 39 times for — collecting four assists in total.
He said: “Yeah, it was brilliant. You know, the season before it was a bit tricky for me. I didn’t play as much as I’d have liked.
“Obviously, managed to go there last year and play a lot of games and contributed a lot. For me, personally, it was brilliant.
“I can’t speak highly enough of that club; I loved my time there.”
