Weston McKennie and Brenden Aaronson have responded when asked by Men In Blazers which USMNT player they would take at Leeds – picking Valencia ace Yunus Musah, who has been linked with a return to the Premier League.
Musah, 20, starred in a midfield three alongside McKennie and Tyler Adams at the World Cup in Qatar during the winter. Meanwhile, the young American has been a rare shining light in a dismal season with Spanish side Valencia.
Indeed, relegation looks more than likely come the end of the season. A report from 90Min stated that a whole host of Premier League clubs are interested in Musah, including Arsenal, Newcastle, Chelsea, Liverpool and Brighton.
We at LeedsUnited.News wrote this week, in reaction to the reports, that Leeds should be interested in Musah. A player that Jesse Marsch branded “outstanding” when discussing his nation’s World Cup campaign in December.

Now, when posed with the question – which USMNT player would they would like at Leeds – Aaronson and on-loan McKennie agreed they would have Musah, after Fulham stars Tim Ream and Antonee Robinson picked Musah.

Musah is an incredibly exciting, young talent. A midfielder that can play in the holding role, box to box like McKennie or even as an eight or a 10. Before his move to Arsenal, he was even used out wide. So, very versatile too.
He is certainly the kind of player Victor Orta likes to sign. Young, but experienced. A player with 100 appearances for Valencia and plenty of caps for his country. Leeds need a midfielder and a move to England is likely. Possible.
