Leeds United are reportedly set to appoint Gretar Steinsson as a senior figure in the club’s recruitment department, with Phil Hay claiming he has accepted a move – and here are three players he could sign from Tottenham Hotspur.
Steinsson leaves Spurs, which he was scheduled to do so, this summer. He has accepted an offer from Leeds to join the club in a key position as the club restructure that area after Victor Orta’s exit. Who could he bring from Spurs?

Joe Rodon
Rodon has returned to Spurs this summer after a loan at Ligue 1 side Rennes. While there is likely to be top-flight clubs look at the Wales star – why not join his Wales teammates Ethan Ampadu and Dan James at Elland Road?
The centre-back has Championship experience with Swansea, and Leeds need a right-footed central defender. Ampadu is set to sign, but the Chelsea man is likely to be brought in as a midfielder. £15m Rodon would be solid.
Harvey White
Left-footed midfielder White, 21, has been made to wait at Spurs. Starring for the 21’s a huge 66 times, he has also gone out on loan to Portsmouth and in January, Derby – playing 15 times during the second half of the 22-23 term.
If you could pinpoint two positions Leeds need to improve this summer, it is depth in central midfield – and a new left-back. White might not start, but he is a gem and a player with huge potential. His deal ends in 2024. No-brainer.
Alfie Devine (loan)
Brenden Aaronson has left the club on loan to join Union Berlin and Leeds are light in the 10 role. Daniel Farke likes to use a 4-2-3-1 system, and Sam Greenwood started there against Manchester United. He is a solid replacement.
But, Leeds need more than just Greenwood. Bringing in a player with Devine’s tenacity, work rate and form for the U21 side at Spurs, would make sense. A loan for Joe Gelhardt’s ex-Wigan academy teammates would be excellent.
