Three selection dilemmas Daniel Farke faces against Watford, including 21-year-old vs Leeds leader

Leeds United end a busy week of Championship action with a home match against Watford on Saturday

The Whites will be looking to make it seven points in six days after beating Millwall 3-0 at the Den on Sunday, before being held to a 0-0 draw at Hull City in midweek.

Leeds are now starting to show signs they are clicking under Daniel Farke but will need to start putting wins on the board on a more consistent basis.

Farke could be both forced, and tempted into making some changes on Saturday, with Joe Rodon suspended, Wilfried Gnonto potentially absent, a couple of players looking jaded against the Tigers.

So, with that in mind, here is a look at three selection dilemmas Farke faces this weekend.

Jamie Shackleton vs Luke Ayling

With Sam Byram having received a rest in midweek, he should come straight back in at left-back on Saturday, leaving that right-back spot open.

Ayling is the only of Leeds’ available full-backs to have started both matches and so a rest may not be the worst idea for the 32-year-old.

That would allow Shackleton to play on his favoured side having made his last three appearances at left-back.

Charlie Cresswell vs Liam Cooper

As aforementioned, Rodon will be suspended this weekend and so Cooper and Cresswell be fighting it out to start alongside Pascal Struijk.

Having been named on the bench on Wednesday, it would appear Cooper has the edge over Cresswell following his return from injury.

However, that would mean playing two left-footed centre-backs which did not work to great effect against Cardiff City on the opening day.

Glen Kamara vs Archie Gray

Gray was among the players who looked jaded towards the end of the draw at Hull and given his age, really could do with a rest.

Kamara has played just nine minutes since his move from Rangers last month and this weekend represents the perfect opportunity to chuck him into the XI.

Whether Farke wants to break up that Gray and Ethan Ampadu partnership in midfield is another question, though.
