Leeds United were less than impressed with the performance of referee Stephen Martin in the 1-1 draw at Norwich City.
While there were no arguments against awarding Norwich a spot-kick after Joe Rodon‘s rash challenge, some of his other decisions certainly left a lot to be desired.
Daniel Farke felt Leeds should’ve had a penalty of their own for a challenge on Wilfried Gnonto in the second half, with the Italian’s complaints actually leading to a booking of his own.
Other frustrating decisions included not showing Borja Sainz a card for a very rash challenge from behind on Brenden Aaronson, just moments after Pascal Struijk had been booked.
Jayden Bogle was also shown a yellow just moments into the second half after he had been adjudged to have pulled Sainz back, who should’ve been penalised for committing the first offence.

Leeds trio Gnonto, Rodon and Bogle walking tightrope
In total, Leeds were booked on five occasions by Martin in Norfolk, which is over a quarter of the total they have amassed over the entire season. That said, Farke was one of them.
Joining Struijk, Gnonto and Bogle in the book was Joe Rothwell, a decision which angered Farke on the touchline. Unfortunately, two of that quartet are now already walking a suspension tightrope.
Gnonto, Bogle and Rodon have already picked up three yellow cards in the opening eight matches of the season.
That means they are just two away from incurring an automatic one-match ban, and there are still plenty of games they need to get through to avoid doing so.
The cut-off for five bookings leading to a suspension is the 19th match, meaning if either of that trio are booked twice in the next 11, they will be forced to miss a game.
Every Leeds game Gnonto, Rodon and Bogle need to get through
Leeds do not play their 19th match of the season until early December. That is a long time for them to avoid getting banned.
It is made even more difficult given that two are defenders who love to make a challenge, while Gnonto is someone who always wears his heart on his sleeve.
