A report from Mexican outlet El Portal Deportivo claims that Napoli winger and surprise Leeds United target Hirving Lozano has an offer on the table from Everton – but the wide man is unconvinced by a move to Goodison Park.
Lozano, 28, is expected to leave Napoli. The ex-PSV man has entered the final year of his contract and AS say that Napoli have told him he can stay and sit in the stands, or sign a new deal at a reduced fee. He is likely to go, then.
According to W Deportes, Leeds – along with Stoke and Everton – have held talks with Lozano’s camp. The latest story from El Portal Deportivo states that Everton have tabled an offer to Lozano, to sign him in the coming month.
However, Everton’s poor form in the Premier League last season means Lozano is unconvinced – he does not want to be playing for a side in a relegation battle, and would rather play for a team on the front foot, winning a title.
The report also backs up what W Deportes originally said, in that Leeds and Stoke are also keen on luring Lozano to English football. It is unclear if Lozano is open to a move to Leeds – if he is not keen on joining Everton this summer.

Lozano is obviously a player of supreme talent. A player that once cost Napoli a fee of £36m in 2019. He has been ever-present for Napoli without ever really living up to the billing – but he is a player that can make things happen.
He is a player of Champions League quality even if he is not able to produce it regularly. Throwing him into a small pond, as a big fish, might get the best out of him. It certainly does with his country. He would be at Elland Road.
But if he is unwilling to join a Premier League side in Everton, then Leeds and Stoke can forget about trying to tempt the winger to move to Elland Road. Even, if Leeds will be fighting for a title. He is a player that is too high a calibre.
