Leeds United could bring in an ‘eight-figure’ fee for Patrick Bamford if he is sold this summer.
That is according to Leeds Live reporter Beren Cross, who in a question and answer session conducted this afternoon, named a list of players Leeds could command a big fee for during the transfer window, of which Bamford was one of them.
Bamford has not really been linked with any clubs so far this summer but has been mentioned as someone who is ready to depart Elland Road if a bid does arrive.
A fresh start at a new club could the best for all parties, with the 29-year-old having endured a torrid last two seasons due to injuries and loss of form.
The relationship between Bamford and Leeds supporters became strained towards the back end of the campaign, with the striker even deactivating his Twitter account following the abuse he received.

The likes of Jack Harrison, Luis Sinisterra and Wilfried Gnonto were all mentioned by Cross as players who could command big transfer fees this summer, but he also says Bamford is among that group too.
“Certainly selling one or two players for eight-figure fees would be immensely helpful in terms of releasing more money for acquisitions. You can guess which players are most likely to go for sums like that.
“Illan Meslier, Patrick Bamford, Crysencio Summerville, Jack Harrison, Tyler Adams, Luis Sinisterra and Wilfried Gnonto could all fetch decent fees if they ended up moving on.”
It does feel like the best for all parties for Bamford to move on this summer given the toxicity that surrounded him last season, even if he could be a half decent asset in the Championship.
It was noted by supporters in Leeds’ uncut YouTube video of the trip to Norway that he did not look happy, and a move away could help him get his career back on track.
