Patrick Bamford is ready to leave Leeds United as the Whites gear up for the new Championship season.
That is according to a report from the Daily Mail, which suggests that the striker is one of a number of players attracting interest ahead of the new campaign.
Patrick Bamford is arguably one player facing a very uncertain future at Elland Road. While he has previously proved that he can shine in the Premier League, his form and fitness over the last couple of years meant that a summer exit did not seem a formality following relegation.
Bamford ready to leave Leeds
Certainly, it does not appear that there has been too much speculation suggesting that Bamford is attracting a lot of attention in this window.
Nevertheless, it seems that the 29-year-old wants to move on. The Daily Mail reports that Bamford is one of the players ready to leave Leeds in this window.
Ultimately, it will divide opinion if Bamford leaves the club this summer. It has to be said that some of the criticism aimed at the forward has been way over the top and unacceptable.
However, there are no guarantees that Bamford would be the striker to lead us to promotion next year if he did stay. He had a tough time in the Championship previously. Even in our promotion-winning campaign, he did take some flak for missing a number of big chances.
And unfortunately, relying on Bamford to stay fit has been more than difficult over the last couple of years.
So if a decent offer comes in, plenty of Leeds fans will feel that the time is right for all parties for the striker to move on and start afresh elsewhere.
That is particularly the case if Bamford does not want to stay – as this latest report suggests.
