Che Adams is a name that continues to pop up from window to window but with Leeds United more than likely to be in the Championship next term – the Southampton star would be superb, not least because of his second-tier stats.
Adams, 26, has failed to prevent Southampton from suffering relegation in rock-bottom 20th place this season. The Saints are already down and star Adams will be keen to move on. His current contract is due to expire in June 2024.
TeamTalk report that Adams – who has scored 10 goals and laid on three assists this season – is still a player Leeds and Everton want to sign. The advantage will obviously remain with the club that win the fight to avoid the drop.
But, would Adams want to join an Everton side that already boast Dom Calvert-Lewin and Neal Maupay? Would he not be better off joining Leeds, even in the Championship, and firing the Whites back into the Premier League.

Adams would be superb for Leeds because of Championship stats
You would imagine that Leeds are better positioned than Southampton, or other Championship sides in the race for promotion next season. This is of course, that Leeds are unable to beat Spurs on the weekend do actually go down.
Adams may struggle to start next term, if Calvert-Lewin is fit. But at Leeds – with Patrick Bamford struggling and Rodrigo likely to go in the event of relegation – a move to Elland Road for Adams might actually make more sense.
But for Leeds, it would be a superb bit of business. Adams’ stats in the Championship are excellent. Playing 116, he has started 87 and completed 90 minutes only 53 times. But he has still had a hand in 47 goals, scoring 34 times.
It depends on the clubs that become interested in Adams but if he has to choose between Leeds and Everton, he might be better off opting with Leeds and risking a year in the second tier. There are many factors before a move.
