TeamTalk say Leeds United and Everton are still keen on signing Southampton striker Che Adams this summer, with the Scotland star failing to prevent his side from suffering relegation from the Premier League to the Championship.
Adams, 26, has enjoyed a decent season for the already-relegated side – scoring 10 and laying on three assists. But, his future is in doubt with his £52k-a-week deal due to enter the last 12 months. He is likely to look for a move soon.
TalkSPORT claimed towards the end of January that Everton and Leeds wanted to sign the 23-time Scotland striker. But that a January exit to a relegation rival was always going to be rejected. This summer, it will be a different story.
However, it could depend who wins the race to survive relegation – with Leeds losing to West Ham on Sunday. It is now almost impossible that Leeds stay up, with Everton two clear and boasting the easier fixture on the final day.

Regardless, Adams will be looking for a move and it will be interesting to see if he prefers a move to Elland Road if Leeds are in the Championship – or Everton, who have Dom Calvert-Lewin – in the Premier League. Both are keen.

Adams of course, is a player that Victor Orta once claimed was close to completing a move to Leeds in Jan 2021. But, a move fell through due to his improved form before a move was agreed. Jean-Kevin Augustin signed, instead.
Look how that went. Adams remains well-liked, clearly, by those upstairs at Leeds – even with Victor Orta no longer in place. Leeds will need a striker with Rodrigo likely to go if we go down, and striker Adams is a super replacement.
