Crysencio Summerville was once again, centre of attention as Leeds United left it late to secure all three points against Hull City on Monday night – and Robert Snodgrass commented on the winger.
Summerville was right in the thick of the action as he has been so many times this season. After scoring against Watford last time out, Summerville got a goal and an assist in the 3-1 win over Hull City tonight.
It was his run and shot that was parried into the path of Sam Byram, who nodded in the opener. Fabio Carvalho equalised, and it was left until the final minutes before the crucial moment arrived for Leeds.
Summerville was brought down by Roman Slater and instead of leaving the penalty to designated taker Joel Piroe – who had come off the bench in search of a winner – Summerville stole the ball to take it.

He sent Ryan Allsopp the wrong way, taking his tally to an incredible 28 goals and assists for the season so far. Dan James got a third, scoring from just inside Hull’s half after Allsopp went up for a corner.
Snodgrass was asked about Summerville on Sky Sports’ coverage of the match after the game, and he spoke of how he is the kind of player you want to pass too all the time – because he makes a difference.
“The biggest thing for me, when you’re a midfielder or a centre-back, you want to pass the ball to these lads that can go one v one. Players that can go right or go left, always positive. Causes teams problems.”
Summerville can be the new Snodgrass and take Leeds up
After the draw against Watford, Hornets manager Tom Cleverley decribed Summerville as the best player in the entire division, agreeing with a claim made by ex-Leeds man Ross McCormack earlier in the season.
Judging by his ability to single-handedly change a game, as he did on Monday, the Dutchman certainly is up there with the best. ALongside the likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Adam Armstrong and other players.
If Leeds are to go up, Summerville needs to be at the peak of his form and after a bit of a dry spell – he now has two goals in two. Perfect timing for Leeds, who had played poorly on the night before winning.
