Report shares second half incident that left Daniel Farke ‘incensed’ in Leeds win on Wednesday

Daniel Farke was left ‘incensed’ at a misplaced pass by Pascal Struijk in the second half of Leeds United’s win over QPR on Wednesday.

That is according to Leeds Live, who says Farke was ‘throwing his arms around’ in the direction of Struijk after an overhit pass into midfielder Ethan Ampadu.

Struijk, whose distribution last night and in the season as a whole has been almost perfect, misplaced a simple pass into the feet of Ampadu, which left him scrambling to retain possession.

Thankfully for Struijk and Leeds, Ampadu was able to recover the situation, with his ability in those midfield duels an attribute of his that has really stood out this season.

That did not stop Farke from making his displeasure towards the incident clear towards Struijk, with the Leeds boss clearly someone who strives for perfection.

Farke ‘incensed’ at Struijk pass for Leeds

This sort of thing is good to hear as it shows Farke is not one to allow standards to slip regardless of the game situation.

Struijk was almost impeccable at everything else he did during the game against QPR, but momentary lapses in concentration are clearly something Farke wants to iron his game.

That pass from Struijk seemed to set the tone for the rest of the second half at Elland Road, with Leeds never really able to find their groove after the break.

It was an incredibly stop-start affair in the second 45 minutes but it is important to acknowledge that Leeds aren’t going to win every game comfortably this season and wins like that are crucial.

Struijk has been one of Leeds’ most consistent performer this season and his partnership with Joe Rodon is currently one of the strongest aspects of Farke’s team.
