Italian outlet FC Inter News claim Leeds United can pip Inter Milan to the signing of Club Brugge ace Tajon Buchanan for a bargain £10.5m in the summer – with Inter unprepared to meet the Belgian side’s price tag for the Canadian.
Buchanan has been excellent for Brugge since a move to the club in January 2022. He earned a move to Belgium’s Champions after starring for MLS side New England – having a hand in 23 goals and assists in 67 for his old side.
He also impressed at the World Cup and now, Buchanan is on the radar of a number of sides. Calcio Mercato said in February that Leeds and Inter want to sign the 31-time Canada star. His current deal ends in the summer of 2025.
Now, a new report from FC Inter News states that Brugge value Buchanan at a fee between £10.5m and £11.5m. But, Inter want to sign him for less than £9m. That hands Leeds a chance to beat Inter by meeting Brugge’s valuation.

Leeds can pip Inter Milan to signing of Tajon Buchanan for £10.5m
Buchanan could be a really solid signing. Young, but experienced with 112 club games to his name – and 31 caps for his country. But also, incredible versatility – able to play on either wing, or either side of the defence, or as a 10.
Indeed, he has played in all of those positions this season. So, that versatility as well as his burgeoning potential is a bargain at a fee of £11.5m at the very most. The lure of Inter will be tempting, but Leeds is Buchanan’s right move.
It would give him a much bigger chance of playing regularly, maybe not to the extent he has done at Brugge. But he will be an important player if he joins Leeds while at Inter, he would be firmly planted on the bench. Potential gem.
