Italian outlet Nerazzurri Siamo Noi carry a report that includes an image of Claudio Vigorelli, the agent of Leeds United star Willy Gnonto, leaving Inter Milan’s HQ – and say after talks, Inter have decided the price tag is too high.
Gnonto, 19, is one of many Leeds stars expected to leave Elland Road this summer. He has been linked with a whole host of Serie A sides – as well as those in the Premier League. Alfredo Pedulla say Aston Villa and Everton are keen.
The Elland Road favourite joined Leeds from Zurich last summer, playing 29 times since his debut at Anfield. But he actually joined Zurich from Inter Milan’s academy. Now, it looks as if there is interest from Inter to re-sign Gnonto.
The picture, carried in a report by Nerazzurri Siamo Noi, shows Vigorelli leaving after a supposed meeting with Inter chiefs at the club’s HQ. He also represents January target Nicolo Zaniolo, who is also being linked with Inter Milan.
The report also includes detail from the meeting. They say that Vigorelli informed Inter of the asking price Leeds have put in place for Gnonto, which Pedulla claims is £21.5m. Inter are said to have deemed that figure as too high.

The report says because of that price, interest has dropped from Inter in Gnonto. It is good to hear that Leeds are sticking true to their valuation and refusing to waver from it. But, it might mean Serie A clubs struggle to afford him.
That might slightly backfire on Leeds. It means Premier League clubs have a much better chance of landing Gnonto this summer, than those in Italy – who are struggling for the kind of cash that English sides have, at this moment.
It might mean that should Leeds gain promotion come May 2024, Leeds could end up playing against Gnonto next season. A slight backfire, but should Leeds get the fee they are after – then it would be a success, regardless.
