Leeds Live claim leaders within the Leeds United dressing room reached out to some of Daniel Farke‘s previous players to get a verdict on the German manager – and they were given glowing reviews about the club’s new gaffer.

Farke, 46, has been appointed as the club’s new boss – signing a deal until the summer of 2027. He has just over four weeks to get going before the club take to the field for the club’s first Championship game of the season.

He has been appointed largely due to securing two Championship promotions in first place with Norwich City, while in charge of the Canaries between 2017 and 2021. It is Farke’s only spell in English football prior to joining Leeds.

The report claims that our dressing room leaders – likely to be Liam Cooper, Luke Ayling, Patrick Bamford and others – have reached out to some of Farke’s old players to get their verdict on him. Those responded with positive takes.

“There were, understandably, glowing reviews from some of those players Farke led to titles at Carrow Road too. United’s dressing room leaders had reached out for verdicts. They all came back with positive noises,” Farke said.

Farke is the best available candidate that Leeds could have hired. He is a manager that likes attacking, attractive football. A manager that wants his players to get the ball on the deck and excite fans. But he has loads to do.

Transfers in, transfers out. Installing a style of play, just a month until Leeds take on Cardiff City. Just two months left to go in the transfer window, without any meaningful ins or outs. Farke has got a whole lot to do this summer.
