Belgian outlet Voetbal Belgie report that Leeds, West Ham and Brighton all want to sign Anderlecht kid Zeno Debast this summer after a good campaign with the Belgian side – while Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is said to be a big fan.
Debast, 19, came into the season with just seven senior outings to his name at Anderlecht. But he has become a regular, clocking up 46 games in both league and cup. He played a crucial part last night in a Europa League win.
A 2-0 win over Alkmaar in the quarter-finals. Debast’s form has clocked up three Belgium caps and even earned praise from Roberto Martinez – who described his debut for Belgium as one of the “impressive” he’d seen for years.
HLN reported in January that he is rated at £7m. The report from Voetbal Belgie say Leeds, West Ham and Brighton are all tracking Debast. 90Min reported earlier this season that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool had scouted the defender.

Debast would be a superb signing. A player with immense potential, and already, proven talent at a very decent level. Indeed he showed that last night, in a Europa League quarter-final. Debast would be a bargain signing at £7m.
Leeds have options. Charlie Cresswell is due to return in the summer. His agent says the club are inclined to keep him. Diego Llorente is likely to go. Robin Koch, Max Wober, Liam Cooper and Pascal Struijk are starting options.
Diogo Monteiro has been signed and has done well in the 21’s since his move to Elland Road. So, Debast would be a top signing. But, is there the room necessary to allow him to continue his development at senior level? Maybe not.
